Daily Open-Door

Cake ‘n’ Cuppa

Every Wednesday from 11am to1.30pm at the Alder Centre. For anyone affected by the death of a child. Drop in for a piece of home made cake and a cuppa, supported by our bereaved parent volunteers in our purpose built beautiful Alder Centre.
Alder’s Hidden Gems

Every Tuesday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the Alder Centre (during term time). Alder’s Gems is a collaboration between wellness artist Gemma Longworth and The Alder Centre. Alder’s Hidden Gems is a creative bereavement support group for children and young people who have been affected by the death of a child. It is a fun weekly get together offering a range of creative activities and workshops tailored to the children and their interests including; visual arts, crafts, music, dance, gardening, fashion and upcycling. ADAM

A Dad’s And Men’s group for those affected by the death of a child. Meeting at the Alder Centre the 4th Monday of every month from 7pm, it’s a safe space for bereaved men to come together.
SAVE

Support for anyone Affected by Violent Events. This is a monthly group to support parents and is hosted at the Alder Centre every 3rd Thursday of the month at 6pm.
Drop in for lunch

From 1pm to 2.30pm each Thursday, from 8th May to 12th June.
Come join us for lunch, drop in and enjoy our home made food or bring your own.
For anyone affected by a death of a child, a relaxed and safe space supported by bereaved parent volunteer.

Yoga classes

At 12 noon each Thursday from 8th May to 12th June. Gentle, calming introduction to Yoga for any adult affected by the death of a child.
Using simple stretches and moves to support you through your grief and enhance your mental and physical wellbeing.
Supported by our child bereaved volunteers and trained staff in the beautiful surroundings of The Alder Centre.
Classes last approximately an hour. Booking advised, places allocated on a first come first served basis.
