Institute in the Park
Visitors to the Institute in the Park should park in the hospital multi-storey car park unless instructed otherwise. Once you have parked and made your way down to the hospital entrance on the ground level, you should find yourself in the hospital atrium. Make your way towards the WH Smith entrance and walk past our Emergency Department on your left and across the small road. The Institute in the Park is the brown wooden building straight ahead of you.
Please use this entrance as the entrance adjacent to Eaton Road is closed. Once you have entered the Institute, please report to our reception who will be happy to assist.
Please note: There is a height restriction of 2.2 metres for our multi-storey car park.
The hospital has a multi-storey car park which is open 24/7 and has 1184 spaces, including 52 spaces for blue badge holders. These are dedicated spaces situated on the lower ground, 1st floor and 2nd floor. Please ensure your blue badge is clearly displayed.
Blue badge holders are not required to pay for parking.
Charges for parking are applied at an hourly rate. These tariffs bring us in line with the parking charges already in place at other local hospitals:
|0 to 30 minutes||FREE|
|30 minutes to 2 hours||£3|
|2 to 6 hours||£4|
|6 to 8 hours||£5|
|8 to 24 hours||£7|
We are now using automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) at our multi-storey car park. When you arrive, you will be let in automatically (or issued a ticket if your vehicle registration is not picked up).
To pay for your parking, simply pay at the pay station situated in the atrium. Enter your vehicle registration number and the charge for your stay will be displayed. You can pay for your parking in cash or with a debit/credit card.
If you are a Blue Badge holder, please have this to hand to scan on the exit barrier.
Any income generated through parking is used to cover any costs incurred to run and maintain the multi-storey car park. Any remainder will be invested back into our hospital services.
Overnight/long stay patients
For frequent outpatient visitors, parking will be provided free to all those who come to our hospital for an appointment at least 3 times within a month, and for an overall period of at least 3 months. A ‘month’ is defined as a period of 30 days.
Please report to concierge desk to log your vehicle details.
