Who am I?
My name is Jenny, and I am a registered children’s nurse who has a long history with Alder Hey. I have worked as a nurse on critical care and met many inspirational children and families. I currently work as a Senior Lecturer in Children’s Nursing at the University of Chester. I am extremely passionate about supporting the next generation of nurses to be the best possible practitioners for patients and families. My experience has not only been in a professional context, but I have lived experience of accessing Alder Hey as a service user. This has helped me understand what matters most to children, young people and families.
What do I bring to this role?
I have a keen interest in safety and quality assurance and completed my masters in safeguarding. I hope to bring these skills to the role as governor and advocate for patients and families to ensure best services possible. I value input from patients, families and stakeholders and hope to recognise any feedback they can offer.
