In addition to our highly experienced, CRF-dedicated team, we work with a range of skilled investigators across Alder Hey. Our principal investigators are highly experienced, clinically active, and knowledgeable regarding their respective patient cohorts. Alder Hey is the UK’s premier centre for training in paediatric clinical pharmacology and has dedicated paediatric clinical pharmacologists and trainees on the CRF.

Our lead clinical pharmacologist is also the Chair of the RCPCH/NPPG Medicines Committee, and responsible for training paediatricians in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics in the UK. Alder Hey CRF has one of only two specialist training posts for junior doctors to learn pharmacology and is the only one that provides CRF and early phase trial experience and training.
