The befriending service at The Alder Centre aims to provide a listening ear and peer support for anyone affected by the death of a child of any age. The service is delivered by trained volunteers who are also child bereaved and can be accessed via telephone, online or in person.
Here’s how it works:
- Call or email us and ask to be matched with a befriender.
- After listening to your story, our volunteer coordinator will link you to a befriender whose experiences best match your needs and situation, depending on availability.
- The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to make arrangements for you to meet with your befriender either in person, online or by telephone.
To find out more about our befriending service and to be matched with a befriender call us on 0151 252 5391 or email [email protected].
