Alder Hey, together with University of Liverpool, are conducting a study on food and exercise-related emotions in families to identify ways to support healthy behaviour.
We would ask children and caregivers to complete questionnaires. It will take up to 30 minutes and we would greatly appreciate your help. Your family can receive a £20 voucher.
For families to take part, children must:
- Be active service users of the NHS
- Be treated within the catchment area of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital
- Aged 6 – 15 years
- Diagnosed with overweight/obesity, diabetes, kidney disease, or a rheumatological condition
- No diagnosis of a learning difficulty or mental health disorder for which they have had treatment for in the last 6 months
- Fluent in English
The study contains sensitive questions about eating behaviours and physical activity. If this is not something your family is comfortable with, or feels may be distressing, please do not take part.
Please express any interest in volunteering to your practitioner at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital or by emailing [email protected]. You can also click the button below, which will take you to a sign-up sheet. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions.
