Today, we were visited Liverpool City Council Director of Public Health Matt Ashton, who was given a tour of our new Tier 4 Mental Health Inpatient facility Sunflower House.
The new inpatient unit at Alder Hey opened on 17th May and will provide children and young people with severe mental health issues greatly improved quality of care. The urgent and growing crisis in mental health has increased demand for specialist inpatient care, as well as other mental health services. Sunflower House will be for those aged 5 to 13 years old who have the most challenging mental health conditions.
