Due to the expansion of building work currently going on at Alder Hey, the walking route between Ronald McDonald House and the hospital site will be closed and not accessible from 6pm on Friday 24 March.
This means that from that time, the route from Ronald McDonald House to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital will not be accessible by foot.
Families will instead have to walk around the block, using Alder Road and Eaton Road to access the hospital and other buildings on the campus such as the Institute in the Park and the Catkin Centre. This street route will take you roughly five minutes longer than the previous route but is the next best option given that it is paved and well-lit.
