What job(s) did you do before this?
Before joining Alder Hey, I studied at Edge Hill University, where I graduated with a First-Class degree in Animation. I was subsequently employed by Alder Hey as an Animation Intern, supporting an engagement project with primary schools. Following this, I progressed into a full-time position.
Briefly describe a typical day in your job role (tasks carried out)
My role is to support staff across the organisation. A typical day includes:
- Updating mandatory training records
- Running and analysing reports
- Managing the ESR system
- Creating e-learning resources
- Contributing to Trust-wide projects
- Organising courses/facilitation / learning materials
Have you had any special training/completed any qualifications?
My degree enabled me to secure my first role, which in turn led to my current position. Since then, I have developed a broad range of skills through hands-on experience, and I continue to learn and grow in my role each day.
What would you say your key skills are? What type of person are you?
As part of a support team, I take pride in being approachable and proactive, consistently striving to provide the best possible assistance to colleagues. I am highly productive and continuously seek opportunities to improve our ways of working and enhance our overall offering. I also enjoy working with data, alongside applying creativity to develop effective solutions.
