Briefly describe a typical day in your job role (tasks carried out)
My days can often change, and I wouldn’t say any day is the same. My main aim for each day is to scope new opportunities for the Alder Hey Youth Forum and network to ensure we stay in the loop with new projects and activities within the trust and local community. Each day me and the team also plan weekly activity sessions for the group.
Have you had any special training/completed any qualifications?
Play Work/Youth work qualifications and a Childcare qualification. Many training programmes some including Safeguarding, Prevent, Conflict Resolution, UNRC Workshops.
What would you say your key skills are? What type of person are you?
Keys skills in this job are excellent communication skills, planning and organisation skills, understanding boundaries, have fun and not to take yourself too seriously and being able to recognise and understand young people’s needs.
