Ava Kilbride

This article has been tagged with the following terms: Elected Governors

Constituency: Patient Governor

Term of office: 2025 to 2028

Who am I?

I am a patient at Alder Hey who is motivated to use my voice to aid others and create a better future for future patients! During my time at Alder Hey, I have not just been a patient since over the past year I have participated in the trust’s youth forum and volunteer programme. These opportunities have led me to become the young person I am today as I have learnt so much whilst having the opportunity to have fun! Currently, I am studying 3 A-levels which are: criminology, sociology and geography and my chosen career path is law.

What do I bring to this role?

While in this role, I will use many transferable skills that I have learned whilst participating in the youth forum and being a volunteer to aid me in communicating the views of the trust’s members. Also, during my time as a governor I will use my creativity skills to aid children and young people in expressing their views about the hospital so that all governors have an understanding about how children and young people view the hospital. I hope to voice the views of all of the members so that the hospital can strive towards the Vision 2030 plan.

How can I be contacted?

I can be contacted via the following e-mail address: [email protected]
