My name is Samatha Lane and I am a Radiographer at Alder Hey’s Children’s Hospital. I have been an employee at Alder Hey for ten years and have over twenty years of Radiography experience.
I am an experienced Radiographer in both paediatric and adult imaging and have a specialist interest in Orthopaedic and Spinal Imaging.
I rotate in all areas of the general x-ray department, including EOS imaging, Dentals, plain film trauma imaging, accident and emergency imaging, OPD and in-patient imaging, fluoroscopy, theatre and mobile imaging. I have also specialised in Cardiac catheter lab imaging, Interventional imaging, o-arm and hybrid imaging.
I mentor Apprentice Radiographers and newly qualified radiographers.
I participate in all out-of-hours and on-call duties, and aide in covering evening and weekend clinics and theatres.
I work well in both lone and team working situations and can manage my own workload efficiently. I am flexible in being able to cover duties with short notice.
