Alder Hey Children’s Charity

Lily Whitehead with mum JaneAlder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds to make Alder Hey in the Park a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital – making a crucial difference to the 270,000 patients and families who visit Alder Hey every year.

Since October 2013, over £22m has been raised for a range of life-saving medical equipment and facilities that are making a real difference to families every day, but we still need your support.

Your support will help us develop better, safer medicines and treatment to benefit young patients at Alder Hey and children across the world.

Here at Alder Hey we’re not satisfied treating children using today’s medicines and technologies, we want to find the very best treatments we can. That’s why we’re working to develop the next generation of medicines and interventions that are even more effective, and safer.

Your crucial support will help children everywhere, like Lily

After two operations on her knees and ankles for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, seven year old Lily (pictured above, with mum Jane) was unable to walk. She took part in a research trial for a new medicine and responded really well to the treatment.

We are developing a new state of the art research and innovation facility that will enable us to help even more patients like Lily, but we need your support to raise the vital funds to do this.
