The Hartree Centre is part of the Science and Technology Facilities Council – one of the UK’s seven research councils.
The centre is accelerating the use of data-centric computing, big data and cognitive technologies into UK businesses to increase their global competitiveness. Backed by over £170m of Government funding, and with major strategic partnerships with organisations such as IBM, Hartree works with organisations to generate valuable insights which address real-life challenges and deliver transformative gains in performance, innovation and time to market.
The Hartree Centre is helping us to harness the power of IBM Watson, ensuring that the technology works effectively.
For over 100 years IBM has been at the forefront of innovation and technology.
Through the Hartree Centre we are working with IBM. Our cognitive hospital system is being built on their IBM Watson platform.
Alder Hey Children’s Charity
Alder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds to help make Alder Hey in the Park a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital.
The charity has raised over £20m for Alder Hey in the Park in recent years and will continue to raise money to help us achieve our vision of creating the world’s first cognitive hospital.
